The majority of his work is acrylic with spray paint, creating a unique blend of street and pop art style.

Penumbra Gallery welcomes Detroit's own Charles Urban to our digital underground.
Charles has plied his trade in a variety of mediums from linogravure to digital. Our current offerings are produced digitally; however we hope to add traditional mediums to the collection soon!
Charles's art features monochromatic horrors that pay tribute to pop culture icons of the silver screen along with traditional gothic imagery.
Charles is also a noted local musician, acting as the front man of Lonesome Skeleton Band and The Sad Hour.
